River Moment.

The opening for the Printed show at Crewest Gallery was this past Sat night.  The show looks great.  Lots of awesome art and rare prints from many local artists on the walls and most of it is priced to sell. This has to do with the Hudson River why?  Because at the opening, I ran into a certain Mr. Trees, who also had art in the show.  It was great to see him and I got to tell him about this cool moment on the Hudson River (this past summer on Switchback).

All along the river, we would dock at various boat houses and yacht clubs to refuel, or meet people, or whatever.  Also all along the river, there are train tracks that graffiti covered freight trains run on.  The whole way down the river I found myself squinting any time I’d see a train, looking to see if I could recognize anyone I knew, or knew of, amongst the mashup of graffiti. Mostly I could never see it clear enough, but this one time we were docked at this little yacht club that actually had train tracks running between the docks and the boat house.  It was weird because when a train passes through, you have to wait to get to either the boat house or your boat, and sometimes the trains are not short.   Well, I got stuck waiting for this long train to pass, and as I was watching that train pass by, I saw a Mr. Trees tree, looking super fresh on the side of that train.

It was rad.  Totally made my day – and then made my day again getting to tell him about it in person on Sat night :)

Whipped this sucker up for Miss Amira right before I left for Troy. It is now home to Ruffy (as in Ruf Ruf dog bark), as you can see.

Shawn saw this one and really really really wanted it and who can really say no to Shawn? So now it’s his wallet.

New York, New York!
